On September 7, 2021, in Cherkasy, as part of the project “Social inclusion of vulnerable elderly people in Ukraine through spreading knowledge about dementia” was concluded a training: “Creating conditions for successful communication in the family.”
The leader of the training was Ovcharenko Olga Vastlivna – Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of Psychology, in Cherkasy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education of Teachers.
At the training, participants were able to discuss problems and situations that arise in family where a person with dementia lives. They had a possibility to find a solution to the problem together. Particular, they were acquainted with the method of validation to improve communication. In general, the knowledge gained during the training was very useful for the participants, as they received new techniques, tips and tricks to avoid problems with communication in their families.
