Title: Project #CN 812 “STRENGTHENING THE VOICES OF OLDER PEOPLE IN THE UKRAINE” financed by the DFID CIVIL SOCIETY CHALLENGE FUND
The aim of the project:
- to help elder people to better understand their rights and to learn how to defend these rights
- to inform the government of needs and problems of older people
- to demand better and more accessible services for elder people
The project is developed in partnership with the Age Concern England and with financial support of DFID CIVIL SOCIETY CHALLENGE FUND
The survey to reveal different problems faced by our elderly was carried out by “TLU” . 1500 people at the age of 55-97 years old were questioned during this survey.The survey has demonstrated that older people suffer from age discrimination, poor information, isolation, loneliness and low self esteem.
